The introduction supplies the only biography evidenced, and it is a seventeen-year arc: he came to computing through web programming, wanted to write a kernel, tried and failed for lack of readiness, spent the intervening years on other system software — compilers, virtual machines, assemblers, implementing simple versions of each to check he had understood them — and returned to the kernel in 2017. A Master's degree pushed the work back to late 2019. The book landed in November 2022.
Two things in that account matter to this spoke rather than being merely biographical.
The book's existence was conditional on it being useful to someone else. He records asking himself "how to make it a useful project for people?" and answering with the book — so the artifact was built as a curriculum, not documented after the fact. Every other from-scratch or clone source here is a project that acquired teaching material; this is teaching material that acquired a project. It is the cleanest case in the corpus of pedagogy determining scope, since 539kernel has no user and no requirement except being explicable.
He has nothing to sell. No course, no upsell, no newsletter, no sponsorship — the free PDF, the free site and the repository are the whole offer. With mito753 he is the second break in the publisher-with-a-commercial-layer pattern the spoke tracked at 3/3, and unlike mito753's curation this is original authorship.
The acknowledgements thank Dr. Hussain Almohri for reading the book before release, which is the
only pre-publication review recorded anywhere in this corpus. Almohri is not paged — one mention, per
the recurrence rule in ../ENTITIES.md.
