Artificial Analysis — Music Arena Leaderboard
The neutral, Elo-based board for audio-music-generation, and the music sibling of tts-arena-leaderboard: blind paired listening, users pick the preferred track without seeing which model made it. Added 2026-08-03, when a staleness pass found this wiki ranking the music branch entirely from a T4 marketing survey.
It splits into two boards — instrumental and vocals — which is itself informative: the branch’s hard problem (singing) is scored separately from the easy one.

What it corrects in this wiki
Udio is not Suno’s close rival. This wiki called Udio “suno‘s closest rival” trading “a slight quality gap” for clean rights. The board puts Udio v1.5 Allegro 16th of 18 on instrumental — below stable-audio 2.0 — and 14th of 15 on vocals, roughly 235 Elo behind Suno V5.5. The rights argument for Udio stands and is unaffected; the quality parity does not. Corrected on udio and in synthesis.
A top-two provider was missing entirely. mureka holds ranks 2 and 3 on both boards and appears nowhere in this hub before today. Mureka V9 is within 2 Elo of Suno V5.5 on instrumental — the closest anyone gets to the leader — and the wiki had no record of it.
The Elo figure this wiki carried is not on this scale. synthesis and suno cite “Suno v5 ~1293”, sourced to the T4 survey ai-music-generators-2026. Here Suno V5 scores 1158 (instrumental) and 1097 (vocals). Both are kept per record-don’t-overwrite, but they are not comparable numbers: a ~135-point gap is far larger than the drift seen across TTS boards, so this is a different scale or pool rather than a stale reading. Prefer this board’s figures and cite the scale.
MusicGen is last. Meta’s musicgen, the wiki’s open-weight music reference, ranks 18th of 18 at 865 — over 300 Elo behind the leader. The open wedge that exists in TTS and STT does not exist here in any competitive sense.
Method & caveats
Blind paired votes, Elo derived from user preference. Measures preference on short samples, not song structure, controllability, stem quality or rights posture — all of which the branch is actually bought on. Vote pools bias results. Instrumental and vocals scores are separate scales and should not be averaged. Dated snapshot; expect it to move.
