Victor Ayomipo

Victor Ayomipo is a front-end developer and the author of when-to-block-main-thread for Smashing Magazine (July 2026). The article grew out of debugging his own Fastary screenshot browser extension, whose 2–3 s latency under the recommended Offscreen Document architecture led him to the argument that offloading work off the main thread is not always a win.
