OKX

Crypto derivatives and spot exchange, founded 2017, operating through Seychelles and Bahamas entities (a US arm, OKX Inc., relaunched in San Jose in April 2025 after the Seychelles entity's 2025 guilty plea and $504M penalty for running an unlicensed money-transmitting business). Discovered while ingesting beebots, which trades OKX perpetual futures and is built on OKX's own open-source Agent Trade Kit (MIT-licensed REST client + CLI) rather than a third-party connector — the kit is vendored directly into beebots' codebase. Beebots targets OKX's EEA endpoint (eea.okx.com) and its demo-key mode.

Domain-relevant here as a data/execution venue rather than as a subject of research — the same role CBOE and optionmetrics play for the options-market sources, one exchange level down (an infrastructure provider a strategy trades through, not a dataset a paper studies).
