TradingView

Charting platform and social network for traders: users build charts from its data feeds and publish them as "ideas" with commentary attached. Discovered while ingesting history-of-us-told-by-spx.

Worth a node for what it does to a source rather than for the company. A published idea is a chart first and an argument second — the evidence is a picture of a line, the reader is shown the fit rather than the data or the method, and the platform's affordances make drawing a regression channel across a century as easy as drawing one across a week. That shapes what claims get made on it, and it is why history-of-us-told-by-spx can assert mean reversion over a hundred years without touching any of the tests mean-reversion holds for exactly that question.

The corpus's counter-example comes from elsewhere: awesome-systematic-trading, a GitHub catalogue, gives each strategy a paper, a Sharpe ratio and a runnable QuantConnect implementation. Both are retail-facing publishing formats and only one of them ships something a reader can run.
