Vitalik Buterin
Ethereum co-founder, and in this spoke he appears in two distinct roles that are worth keeping apart.
As an author. diamond-io is his own writing — an explainer series on indistinguishability-obfuscation that this spoke holds as a T2 secondary source. Its most useful quality is the plainness of its caveats: he calls diamond iO's assumptions "at the same time plausible… but also novel and risky," and notes that evasive LWE is non-falsifiable in Naor's sense.
As a target number. flock cites his estimate that proving 200k hashes per second would suffice for Ethereum's post-quantum transition, and then reports 661k BLAKE3 compressions per second on ten cores. A single person's published estimate has become the benchmark a proof-system paper measures itself against, which says something about how this field sets its goals: the requirement comes from the application's roadmap rather than from a standards body.
