Israel Innovation Authority
The Israel Innovation Authority (Innovation Israel) is Israel’s government agency for supporting and funding the country’s high-tech innovation ecosystem. In AI governance it is the publisher of the national AI strategy and a key actor in the national (state-level) axis of ai-governance.

Published israel-ai-strategy-2026 (“Excellence Outweighs Scale,” April 2026 draft) in cooperation with the Prime Minister’s Office / AI Directorate, and ran the prior ~NIS 1B national AI program. Its posture treats regulation as an enabler of competitiveness — consistent with Israel’s responsible-innovation model and its sectoral regulatory framework (the latter led primarily by MIST and sector regulators).
