LINE Official Account plans (LY Corporation rate card)

ly-corporation's own pricing page for LINE Official Accounts in Japan, plus the companion page describing what a verified account is and costs. Read 2026-09-04; both are first-party and both carry live prices, so treat every figure as a snapshot.

The plans

Three, all tax-excluded:

Plan Monthly fee Free messages / month Additional messages
Communication ¥0 200 not available
Light ¥5,000 5,000 not available
Standard ¥15,000 30,000 ¥3 (first 50,000), ¥2.8 (next 50,000), ¥2.6 (beyond 100,000)

Options: Chat Pro at ¥3,000/month (five-year chat history, up to 300 tags) and a Premium ID — a chosen account ID rather than a random alphanumeric one — at ¥100/month or ¥1,200/year.

Payment is by credit card or invoice, and invoice requires verified status: the identity review is a billing gate as well as a discovery one.

What this does to "billing is policy"

The spine's billing-is-policy claim was already narrowed to WhatsApp when a2p-10dlc landed. LINE narrows it further from the other direction. There is no conversation category here, no template class, no policy-priced message type — the price depends on how many messages you send and nothing at all on what kind they are. Two of the three plans cannot buy another message at any price; you change plan instead.

That makes three billing shapes in the corpus: WhatsApp's per-conversation policy pricing, US A2P SMS's per-message carrier pricing, and LINE's subscription-with-quota. The channel that most resembles WhatsApp in market position resembles it least in how it charges.

Caveat

This is the Japanese rate card. LINE operates in Taiwan and Thailand with separate pricing that this page does not cover, and the verification review times and eligibility rules quoted on line-messaging-api come from the Japanese-language business site.
