ChatGPT Atlas is OpenAI’s AI browser (announced 21 Oct 2025), built to challenge Chrome as the default way people search. Tier T3 (TechCrunch launch coverage). Its core is a ChatGPT sidecar that automatically has the current page as context — you chat with the page and its search results, no copy-paste — plus an agent mode that completes web tasks for you. Browser history personalizes ChatGPT’s answers.
