Opera Air (“the internet, with less noise”) is Opera‘s wellbeing/mindfulness browser — “a browser that fades into your flow.” Tier T3 (first-party site). It blocks ads and notifications by default and adds Boosts (subtle focus moments) and Breaks (guided pauses / mental resets — the roundup notes breathing exercises and binaural beats) to counter endless scrolling and rabbit holes. Free.

Opera Air anchors the productivity/wellbeing current at its most explicit: the browser as an attention-protecting tool, the antithesis of the engagement-maximizing web. It’s the counter-current to the AI-agent race — where the agentic browsers add capability, Air subtracts distraction. Notable that Opera ships both Air (calm) and Neon (agentic), betting different users want opposite things from a browser (synthesis: several simultaneous contests, not one race).
