Chao Huang
Senior author on both lightrag (2024) and rag-anything (2025), and the lead of hkuds. Discovered while ingesting RAG-Anything.
He is the only researcher with two systems in this corpus’s RAG cluster, and the pair is a deliberate progression rather than two attempts at the same target: LightRAG argued that a light graph index with dual-level keyword retrieval gets most of GraphRAG’s benefit at a fraction of the cost, and RAG-Anything keeps that machinery while extending it to content the first system could not read at all.
Not from the ingested source: nothing beyond authorship and affiliation was verified on ingest, so this page stays at what the evidence supports.
