single-board computer built on Intel’s Wildcat Lake (entry Core
Series 3, embedded/edge-focused). Up to 24 GB LPDDR5 and 256 GB UFS, Xe3 graphics (9–21 TOPS) and a
separate NPU at 15–17 TOPS, 2.5GbE, HDMI 2.1, 3× USB 3.2, M.2, around 30–36 W. Windows 11 LTSC
or Ubuntu 24.04, launching late Q3 2026. Parked in the hub _inbox on 2026-06-18 under

What it marks
x86 in the maker/edge form factor. The credit-card SBC category was defined by ARM (Raspberry Pi and its many imitators, per awesome-iot); this is Intel competing there directly, trading watts for binary compatibility with the x86 software an industrial customer already runs. The targets named are edge AI, industrial automation, robotics, and makers.
The NPU is now a standard line on a board spec. 15–17 TOPS of dedicated inference silicon
alongside 9–21 TOPS of GPU compute, in a 30 W board, is the edge-AI story
becoming ordinary. What it does not tell you is what any of it achieves on a real model — TOPS is
a peak-arithmetic number, and serving mechanics live in ../llm-inference-wiki.
Power is the dividing line. At 30–36 W this is two orders of magnitude above the MCU end of the field, which is the clearest illustration of the spectrum embedded-systems describes: same “small computer” category, completely different power budget, completely different software.
Tier
T3 — an embedded-hardware trade blog reporting a pre-launch product. Specs are the vendor’s, the board was unreleased at the time of writing (late Q3 2026), and there is no pricing or independent benchmark.
