Pianni

Pianni is the maker of Orphea. Its own site describes it not as an instrument company but as "a modern music learning ecosystem designed to introduce children to sound, rhythm, and creativity", arguing that "music is not just an extracurricular skill; it's a core developmental tool."

The catalogue is a children's learning line, not a gear line: a story book ("The Magical Musical Forest Adventure"), a method book ("Beginner Piano Steps – Book 1"), a First Keys learning keyboard, and the "ORPHEA Mini Piano (Coming soon!)" billed as the Signature Instrument — "Beautiful enough for your home. Smart enough for learning", screen-free and child-safe. Contact is an email address; the site names no staff and no location. Jordan Daniels is the named creator on the Kickstarter listing.

This is why Pianni is worth a node rather than a mention. Every other maker in this spoke sells to people who already play — boutique analog (analogue-solutions), budget clones (behringer), DIY kits (korg), plugin developers. Pianni sells to parents of children who don't, and reaches the synth press anyway, because the object it built is the pocket instrument that press already covers (md-7-pocket-synthesizer, minichord). The gap between how Pianni describes Orphea and how designboom and Kickstarter describe it is recorded on orphea and in synthesis.

Unverified elsewhere: no company registration, location, size or shipping history is published, and Pianni has never shipped an instrument.
