claude-marketing-research-skill

A single-[[agent-skills|SKILL.md]] marketing-research workflow for Claude Code and Claude.ai: a five-question intake interview, then modules for competitor research, product positioning, customer avatar, market-sophistication staging, value-proposition drafting and "mental model" copy reframes. Apache-2.0, 55 stars, 5 forks, 3 commits. Routed here via Telegram. The fifth marketing-vertical instance of agent-skills, after agentic-seo-skill, claude-skills-ppc, ai-marketing-claude and geo-seo-claude.

The weakest point yet on the evidence-collector spectrum

ai-marketing-claude set up the comparison this spoke now tracks: how much of a marketing skill pack is prompt text alone versus scripts that fetch a checkable fact. That page found 0 scripts in claude-skills-ppc (an article, not a pack), 4 in ai-marketing-claude, and 89 evidence collectors in agentic-seo-skill. This pack adds a genuine zero: one file, SKILL.md, no scripts directory at all. Its own README names the data source for the Competitor Research module as "web search" — the model's own browsing, not a fetcher the author wrote and the project can point to. Every module output here is model-generated prose shaped by the SKILL.md's style rules (no em dashes, tables over prose, active voice), with nothing underneath it the way geo-seo-claude's robots.txt/llms.txt checkers or ai-marketing-claude's page-fetch scripts are underneath theirs.

Small enough that its own rough edges are still visible

Unlike the larger packs in this thread, this one hasn't had its early mistakes smoothed over by attention. The README's install commands reference ishwarjha/marketing-research-skill; the actual repository is claude-marketing-research-skill — the clone and curl commands as written point at the wrong name. The Claude.ai install path tells a user to download a .skill zip from Releases; the repository has no releases. And the credits section still reads "Created by [Your Name]," an unfilled template placeholder shipped in a public repo. None of this is damning on its own — 3 commits and 55 stars is a project days old, not a mature one — but it's a cleaner instance than this spoke usually gets of what a skill pack looks like before the single-push-then-silence pattern ai-marketing-claude described, rather than after it.

What is actually being automated

The six modules (competitor landscape, product unique-mechanism, customer avatar, market-awareness staging, four value propositions, mental-model reframes) are standard direct-response marketing frameworks — the same vocabulary as Breakthrough Advertising-lineage copywriting, not anything specific to search or SEO. That distinguishes it from the other four instances in this thread, which all target a measurable channel (search rankings, ad auctions, generative-engine citability). This one targets a blank page: its advertised output is "a single markdown file of approximately 300-350 lines" meant to be handed to whoever writes the copy next, with no claim about what happens to that copy's performance afterward.
