Why a tech outlet is in a psychology wiki
Its own masthead lists three editorial pillars: Technology, Politics, and Mind. A psychology explainer is inside its declared remit rather than a stray, which is part of why the piece reads as a briefing rather than an opinion column.
What it says about how it works
Two disclosures bear on tiering, both taken from the site’s own about page and neither verified here:
- “AI tools support drafting, research, and editing — not editorial judgment.” A disclosed assist, with the claim that a human decides what runs.
- Factual claims are sourced and linked, quotations attributed, corrections handled within 48 hours; all pieces get editorial review before publication.

Only its 2026 EEG study is described well enough to look up.
So the pattern holds across both pieces this spoke has taken from the outlet, and it is worth stating as a rule rather than a complaint: Silicon Canals reports findings accurately and citations incompletely. The numbers it gives have checked out where they could be checked; what it withholds is the ability to check them. For this corpus that means a Silicon Canals piece is a good lead and a poor terminus — ingest it, and record the primary as a gap rather than pretending the venue-and-year is a citation. Both pieces are load-bearing on replication-crisis, which makes this the outlet the spoke most needs to go behind.
