The GitHub organization publishing openmanus, with core authors Xinbin Liang and Jinyu Xiang and contributors drawn from the MetaGPT community. Contact on the repo is a gmail address, not a company domain.

That lineage is the whole of what’s evidenced here, and it’s the point: MetaGPT is a multi-agent framework community, and the same people produced an open replica of a closed general-agent product in three hours. This is the community-org stratum of the vendor map — not a lab (nous-research), not a platform vendor (microsoft, langchain), but a loose group whose output competes with funded products on reach if not on maintenance. Also runs OpenManus-RL with UIUC researchers.
