pm-skills (PM Skills Marketplace)
pm-skills is a marketplace of agent skills for product managers — “100+ agentic skills, commands, and plugins — from discovery to strategy, execution, launch, and growth.” By Paweł Huryn (curated from The Product Compass newsletter), MIT-licensed, ~13.3k★ / 1.5k forks. It is the clearest instance yet of the spoke’s skills-generalize-beyond-coding thread: the same harness primitives (agent-skills + slash commands), applied to the product-management vertical rather than software.
Three artifact types
- Skills — domain knowledge + guided workflows for a PM task (e.g.
brainstorm-ideas-existing,identify-assumptions). - Commands — user-triggered
/workflows that chain multiple skills (e.g./discover,/strategy,/write-prd) — i.e. lightweight agent-orchestration expressed as composable commands. - Plugins — installable packages grouping skills + commands by PM domain.
Headline counts: 68 skills across 9 plugins, 42 chained workflows. The nine plugins span the full PM lifecycle — Discovery, Strategy, Execution, Launch (GTM), Growth (Marketing), Market Research, Data Analytics, Toolkit, AI Shipping — and bake in named PM frameworks (“the rigor of Teresa Torres, Marty Cagan, and Alberto Savoia built into your daily workflow”).
Platform & portability
Primarily Claude Code / Cowork plugins — installed via
claude plugin marketplace add phuryn/pm-skills (or browse-and-add in Cowork). It is also explicitly
cross-vendor: compatible with Codex CLI natively and exported in a “universal format” for
Gemini CLI, Cursor, Kiro. That multi-runtime reach is exactly the portability the
open skills standard anticipates — one skill set across many agent products.
Why it matters here
A non-coding vertical harness in the mould of ai-job-search (job applications) and the
augment-pole lathe (tutorials): PM work decomposed into loadable skills + chained slash-command
workflows. Two signals for the spoke’s thesis: (1) skills as the portable, cross-vendor unit of
capability (Claude Code → Codex/Gemini/Cursor/Kiro); (2) commands-that-chain-skills as a low-cost
orchestration layer over a knowledge-heavy domain. The PM subject matter (discovery/strategy/growth)
is the content of the skills; the artifact itself is agent tooling — cross-spoke context only to
../search-marketing-wiki (its Growth/GTM plugins) and ../research-wiki (PM discovery as a
tools-for-thought practice).
