American technical-book publisher and learning platform; here as the publisher of [[nelson-essential-math-for-ai|Essential Math for AI]]. It is the spoke's first trade technical publisher — distinct from the academic houses it already holds (springer, mit-press) and from the university course pages and arXiv preprints that supply most of its corpus. That difference is the reason to keep the node: an O'Reilly maths book is written for practitioners and sold on being readable, which is a different production than a Springer graduate text, and it shows in the tiering.
