Pitirim Sorokin

Russian-American sociologist (1889–1968). Held here only as the person credited with coining the term professional-deformation, to describe work's negative influence on people, per professional-deformation-wikipedia-ru. English Wikipedia's article on the term calls the attribution citation needed and names the Belgian sociologist Daniel Warnotte as the probable originator (professional-deformation-wikipedia-en); see the conflict recorded on the concept page. The Russian source says nothing else about him; the dates come from the English Wikipedia entry linked in same-as, which was checked and is the same person.
