University of Arizona
Public university in Tucson. It enters this wiki as the institutional home of the Mind After Midnight programme: four of the five authors of tubbs-mind-after-midnight-2022 were there, and the NIMH-funded study built to test the hypothesis (mind-after-midnight-nimh-grant) runs there too.
Two units carry it — the Sleep and Health Research Program in the College of Medicine – Tucson's psychiatry department (michael-grandner, andrew-tubbs), and the Center for Sleep, Circadian and Neuroscience Research (fabian-xose-fernandez, jointly in psychology and neurology). The split across psychiatry, psychology and neurology is not bureaucratic detail here: the hypothesis requires a clinical outcome, a behavioural measure and an EEG in the same protocol, and the authorship follows that shape.
The spoke's second university node, after cornell-university and uc-irvine.
