Michael Herzog
Professor at the Brain Mind Institute, École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, and lead author of herzog-understanding-statistics. Discovered while ingesting that book.
A visual-perception researcher rather than a statistician, which shows in the book’s shape: it teaches inference at the level a working experimentalist needs and spends its remaining pages on what goes wrong when a whole field uses that machinery at once. Not to be confused with michael-corral — the entity index scores the two names as a near match on shape alone, and they are unrelated people.
