William Trench
Professor emeritus of mathematics at trinity-university in San Antonio, and the author of trench-real-analysis. Discovered while ingesting that book.
He is the corpus’s clearest case of a rights reversion: Introduction to Real Analysis was a Pearson Education title, and he reissued it in December 2013 under CC BY-NC-SA once the rights came back to him. His Trinity page carries several texts on the same terms.
That is a different route to the same place as jim-hefferon and michael-corral, who wrote free from the start. Both routes produce a free text; only Trench’s carries a commercial publisher’s review behind it, which is why the two are graded alike here and the reasoning is written down on each page rather than left to the tier letter.
