Daisy (Electrosmith)

Why it has its own node
It turns up under brands that otherwise look unrelated. hermetic-alchemy-lab runs on it, and the same article names Noise Engineering’s Versio / Alia / Legio platforms and Bastl’s Kastle 2 as comparable SDK-based modules that “are also based on the Daisy.” Four product lines, one board.
That makes Daisy the Eurorack analogue of a commodity part in a market built on bespoke circuits: a maker who would once have designed a DSP section now buys one and spends the effort on the panel, the jacks and the firmware. It’s analog-vs-digital arriving as a supply-chain fact — in analog, the circuit is the product and can’t be shared; in digital, the compute is fungible and identity moves up into code and industrial design.
Open question this raises for modular-routing: if the boards converge, does the format’s claimed diversity live on in panels and DSP authorship, or does Eurorack’s digital corner homogenise the way browser engines did? Nothing in the corpus answers that yet.
