Korg

A major Japanese synthesizer and electronic-instrument manufacturer. Its relevance here so far is the Nu:Tekt line — affordable DIY self-assembly kits (the NTS-1/2/3 synths and now the NTS-4 performance mixer) — and, by reference, the volca series of compact instruments that the NTS-4 is built to mix. Korg sits alongside m-vave on the accessible/portable end of the hardware market, but distinguished by the build-it-yourself kit model, a design lineage this spoke shares with the open-hardware polyuanalog.
