Miltone
Paris-based vintage-synthesizer repair and restoration shop specializing in Oberheim instruments, now building new ones: the miltone-4exp recreates the 1975 Four Voice System part for part. Discovered while ingesting miltone-4exp.
The unusual bit is the direction of travel. Most makers in this corpus start as manufacturers; Miltone started as the people who fix the originals, and that repair knowledge is the qualification behind the copy — manfred-veber frames it as remaking the SEM “exactly like it was with those new parts.”
