Why it’s a node

SunVox is the cleanest proof that “tracker” names an interface, not an engine. Everything under the grid is modular-routing — the same patch-blocks-together design the spoke has traced through vcv-rack and rackdroid — and the tracker is only how you sequence it. A page that filed SunVox as “a tracker” would miss that its sound architecture belongs to a different thesis entirely.

It also lands on the spoke’s free/cheap software pole: free on desktop with a $5 mobile port, next to the give-it-away plugin pattern (audio-effect-plugin, xnullx-five-free-plugins) and the free-software synth thread (vcv-rack). The $5 iOS price is the interesting part — mobile is where this maker charges, the inverse of the usual demo-on-mobile, pay-on-desktop split.
